The January meeting of the IROs Forum Council, hosted by the University of Wroclaw included a series of events and discussions, which provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and new ideas.

Guests of the meeting were welcomed by prof. Jan Burdukiewicz, the University’s Vice-Rector  for international cooperation and international projects, and also by Ms. Urszula Beard, Head of the International Office at the University of Wroclaw.

Then followed a lecture on the Erasmus + programme, led by Ms. Dorota Rytwińska (representant of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System).
Participants  were given presentation on the foreign students recruitment system, developed by the University of Wroclaw.

There were also artistic impressions – members of the IROs Forum had the opportunity to listen to an organ and piano mini-concert performed by the University’s Rector, Prof. Adam Jezierski.

The main point of the program was handing over leadership from the hands of the outgoing president, Ms. Agata Wojcik representing the University of Silesia, to the newly elected president Ms. Liliana Lato from the University of Lodz.

During the session there was also a meeting of the IROs Forum assembly, as well as the award ceremony for the IROs Forum 2016 Prize. The award was granted to Ms. Dominika Janik Hornik, director of the Graceland Foundation.

On the second day, the participants took part in workshops on intercultural skills.
