On 29 November 2012, the Technical University of Silesia hosted a seminar on overcoming intercultural stereotypes in the academic environment, organized by the IROs Forum, Technical University of Silesia and Medical University of Silesia, with the support of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland and Gdansk Medical University.
The sessions included topics connected with applicants from Eastern Europe, students from Saudi Arabia, Central Asia and Western Africa, as well as a presentation by international students in Poland, speaking about their experience of living in a foreign environment.
The seminar attracted a great number of participants, who appraised it highly in their final evaluation forms.
