Twelve representatives of IROs Forum member universities attended the 1st IROs Forum Council meeting 2012 at the Medical University of Gda?sk between 8 and 10 March.
The meeting was opened by Ewa Kiszka, Head of the MUG’s International Relations Office. Then, Ewa Derkowska-Rybicka of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru?, Chair of the IROs Forum Council in 2011, presented a report on the Forum activities in the previous year. “I would like to thank everyone for the successful cooperation and support in achieving our objectives,” she said. “Today, I pass the Forum presidency for 2012 over to Ewa Kiszka.’
The new Chair summed up the tasks carried out in January and February 2012, including outlining the action plan for 2012, update of IROs Forum leaflet and presentation, payment for the Internet domain and a new website design, approval of the poster for NAFSA conference, preparation of a joint meeting of IROs Forum and FDES, preliminary work on a guide for mobile students, as well as the development and summary of the survey on IROs Forum member universities.
